The Law of Giving and Receiving
Everything in Nature moves in circles, according to the teaching of Religious Science founder Ernest Holmes. What we send out into the universe comes back to us in many forms. Jesus said, "Give and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withall it shall be measured to you again." (Luke 6:38). In Ecclesiastes we read, "Cast thy bread upon the waters, for thou shalt find it after many days." (Ecclesiastes 11:1). And according to Buddhist teaching, we "give because giving is good for the heart" ("The Economy of Gifts," Thanissaro Bhikkhu).

We do not give because God needs the gift, but because the giving increases, broadens, and deepens the life of the giver. Nor should we give merely from a sense of duty. The Universe already has given us everything it has. But it has also provided that the gift of life can be received in its fullness only as it flows out through us to enrich the lives of others.

When we acknowledge our Source through consistent and dedicated giving, we place a law of circulation into motion that ensures our abundance.

The Pledge Program
As the Spiritual Enrichment Center is a channel for God's love and wisdom to flow to you, so the Center's pledge program is a way for you to consistently give back to the Source of your Good through the channel of the church.

The Spiritual Enrichment Center's Pledge Program has a two-fold purpose: first, to encourage the consciousness and demonstration of financial prosperity for the members and friends of the Center, and second, to ensure the growth and success of the Center.

The program allows your financial support without any specific attendance requirements. This frees you to attend services as you choose, while ensuring consistent support for the church. The program also opens the opportunity for you to make regular contributions to an area you are specially interested in supporting.

  • The Spiritual Enrichment Center Visionaries Endowment Fund supports the church by developing and expanding ways of offering our teachings. Among the Fund's goals are supporting individuals in need through groups such as People of Progress and Habitat for Humanity; acquisition of additional land and residential building to provide housing for students, seniors, and people in crisis; and to found a holistic medical healing clinic. • Other special areas you may wish to support include the Children's Church, the Source Youth Group, the Heartsong Choir and Music programs, Landscaping, and the Meditation Pavilion.

For more information, you may contact the Spiritual Enrichment Center. Or you may download a Pledge Commitment Form here and return it to the church office or Information Desk.
